Indoor

Winter can feel long. We get it. We’ve found that a mix of cosy indoor time and short outdoor bursts keeps everyone going. We don’t try to fill every moment—a few planned highlights and plenty of relaxed time is enough.

Inside: dens with blankets, hot chocolate, a film or a story. Baking, crafts, board games make grey days feel special. We put on music and dance, or build an obstacle course with cushions. When the weather allows we wrap up and go out—short walk, run in the park, or ten minutes in the garden. Cold air and movement are invigorating. If it snows we make the most of it: snowman, snowballs (safely), footprints and patterns. Then we come in, warm up, and change. Winter is also good for puzzles, reading, and quiet play. We balance activity and rest.

You don’t have to be on the go all the time. Cozy counts. You’re doing great.
